Our ever intrepid and illustrious Gallery Director, Martin, is spending the next week in Berlin! He flew yesterday and arrived safe and sound. He sends this note:
"Well, I got here okay and spent the day with Jane getting oriented to the city. Had another one of those strange experiences inside the airport when the attendant made his announcement to us in German about which line to stand in for passport control.
Jane and I are spending more time getting oriented tomorrow. We're going to take some preliminary images and buy tickets to a concert and the opera. La Traviata is being staged next Tuesday and we get to hear orchestral music Saturday night. This place is very much like Dupont Circle in DC.
