12 12 Gallery is proud to join MINDS WIDE OPEN: Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts with the Women's International Juried Photography Exhibition 2010.
Opening Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 with an awards presentation and reception for the artists from 2 to 5 PM, the exhibition boasts a wide array of styles and thought provoking images of and by women and will be available at 12 12 Gallery for viewing until Sunday, June 20th, 2010.
Juror Margaret Salisbury, "Master Artists" of FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art), Irish Federation Fellowship, and Royal Photographic Society Fellowship selected 53 works by 49 artists from a total of 333 images submitted by 88 photographers.
Virginia artists Marti Belcher, Kathy Yost Benham, T. McConville Bryant, Gertraud Fendler, Mary Anne Hensley, Laura Howell, Jessica Jastrzebski, Susan Legge, Donna Roberts, Joy Rosenthal, Caron Sterling, Donna Swanson, and Janine Turner are among the finalists competing for up to $1000 in cash prizes. A Picasa Photo Album is available, showing the images and juror's comments on all of the finalists' images.
