Martin Makes Good at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center Biennial 2008

12 12 Gallery is excited to congratulate Martin McFadden, LRPS for his recent award from Peninsula Fine Arts Center Biennial 2008 exhibition. All three of Martin's entries were accepted by juror Mark Richard Leach; Red Ladder, Ten Twenty-Seven, and Iron Works. Martin was honred withthe Award of Excellence in Photography for Red Ladder. The exhibition runs through Sunday, November 2 at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News. We heartily congratulate Martin on his achievements as a fine art photographer!

About the Exhibition Juror Mark Richard Leach is  the Director of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in     Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Leach has held a number of curatorial  positions around the United States and lectured and moderated panels on public and environmental art, art criticism and curatorship. Leach reviewed 501 works from 177 artists and selected 117 pieces from 87 individuals. The Peninsula Fine Arts Center is the premier arts advocate in the Tidewater region working to     create a stronger community through ART. It is located in Mariners' Museum Park along the Newport News Cultural Corridor along with The Virginia Living Museum, The Mariners' Museum and The Ferguson Center for  the Performing Arts.
